Breathwork Therapy
As incredible as it may seem, nearly every human on the planet could benefit from Breathwork Therapy.

Without full awareness of breathing, there can be no development of meditative stability and understanding. –Thich Nhat Hanh
Breathwork is our natural way to cleanse our systems of the toxins gathered through either our environment or from stress. Breathwork can assist in treating chronic pain, insomnia, anxiety and anger issues.
Additionally, participating in breathwork sessions is a critical piece for enhancing sports and activity performance. Actively practicing breathwork has been effective in lowering heart rate, increasing lung capacity and increasing oxygen uptake. These in turn contribute to increased endurance and higher performance across the board.
Breathwork Therapy utilizes breathing exercises to improve mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual health. The breathwork taught at Altru Integrated Health is based on yoga breath practices, or Pranayama, and is backed by recent advances in science, psychology and psychotherapy.
Because breathwork naturally turns your attention inward, we often combine Mindfulness with Breathwork so that you gain a powerful quiver of tools for correcting debilitating symptoms, increasing physical health, sharpening the mind and increasing awareness.
