Anxiety was already at epidemic proportions when Covid hit and spiked depressive anxiety further, seeing surges from 50 to 300% in depressive anxiety disorders. Even before Covid, sufferers of anxiety were 5 times more likely to experience medical issues including hospitalization (Anxiety & Depression Association of America; ADAA).
